Neil Price named to Advocacy Board
We are delighted to welcome Neil Price to the Advocacy Board. Neil's career encompassed Chartered Accountancy, Senior Investment Management (Highlands and Islands Development Board in Inverness and Orkney) and his own practice, Orcadia, Chartered Accountants in Orkney. This business has grown and expanded to a firm of three partners and 20 staff. Neil retired in 2014 and moved to London with his wife, who serves as assistant minister at St Columba's, Church of Scotland. They both sing in a choir and participate in the life of the church. Neil was appointed General Trustee of the Church of Scotland in 2014 and attends monthly meetings in Edinburgh. Neil served on the Council of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), a London based professional organisation with worldwide membership; he served as Chairman of the Audit and Assurance Board, as Vice President, and as President. AAT is a registered charity and Council members all act as trustees. Neil also served as Chairman of its wholly owned trading subsidiary Accounting Technicians Services Ltd in its first two years of trading, from 2011-13. Golf and Music are two top passions. His current handicap is 12 and in 2013 he was admitted as a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians of the City of London.
